                                            <image:caption>This project begins from a critical awareness that, contrary to its widespread perception as an objective technology, AI facial recognition systems embed white-centric data biases, leading to recognition errors for non-white faces and, through this process, reproducing racial discrimination.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Drawing inspiration from anti-surveillance makeup as a form of resistance to surveillance, the project translates individuals’ experiences of racial discrimination into quantified makeup, transforming them into a visual language.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Through this approach, the project presents the structures of discrimination produced by racial data bias in AI facial recognition technologies as both traces and records of visual resistance.&lt;br /&gt;
